The Weekday Indoor Cricket League is held at The Cage in Kallang, usually on Monday evenings between 7-10pm. The Weekday League is played in a 6-a-side format with 12 overs per innings and each match lasts 50 minutes on average. Normally, teams play 1 match per week and the season lasts about 10 weeks. The unique design of the Cage means the umpires are seated on a special balcony overlooking the pitch. The Weekday League can be a good substitute for outdoor nets, which many cricketers find dreary. This league provides a competitive mid-week run-around, which can be a good preparation for weekend outdoor matches. It can also be a good, social focal point for clubs/teams, which is a very important part of cricket
